Coming To Our Senses is our community zine.

Issues explore a topic set in motion by a “Phrase Maze” conversation and feature member contributions.

New issues are published approximately every two months. The written version is released as a 16-page PDF (mini-zine format), and an audio/video version is also created with music, field recordings, and narration.

The Workflow

Phrase Maze – we meet to explore a prompt together (e.g. “It’s the thought that counts”). We look at it from different angles, perspectives, and potential meanings

Development – members are invited to consider contributing to the zine under the banner of the phrase we explored (a replay of the Phrase Maze is available during this time)

Submissions – I get everything in approximately two weeks before the release date

Production – I pull everything together and arrange it all in the digital zine before narrating it and composing music for the video version

Watch Party – we get together to watch the video (30-40 minutes) on Zoom

Each issue is publicly available until the next one is released, at which time it goes into The Library and is only accessible for members.
