Terms of Service

I consider the privacy of visitors to the-haven.co to be of the utmost importance. Any personal information you share with me is 100% secure and is not shared with any third parties. This privacy policy describes the type of information collected, why it’s recorded, and how it is used.

I (Andrew Mort) am the sole proprietor of The Haven and its related Sites. If you require any more information or have any questions about the privacy policy, please do not hesitate to contact me via email: andy@andymort.com

How and Why Information is Collected

I collect your information in order to record and support your participation in the activities you select. For example if you sign up to the membership, register to receive a course, ebook, or training series, the information you provide is used to access the product and enrol you in updates and the newsletter. I also use it to understand your preferences so that you only receive relevant and appropriate updates.

In all cases, I will collect personal identification information from you only if you voluntarily submit such information to me.

In order to partake in voluntary activities, such as the membership you will be asked to provide certain information about yourself by filling out and submitting an online form. It is completely optional for you to engage in these activities. If you elect to engage in these activities, however, you may be asked that you provide us personal information so that it can be fulfilled. For example your first and last name, mailing address (including ZIP code), e-mail address, telephone, credit card, and other personal information. If you do not provide the required data with respect to the particular activity, you will not be able to engage in that activity.

If you supply your email address then you are giving me permission to send updates associated with your subscription. You can unsubscribe at any time and your information will be removed from my records.

The Haven in Your Letterbox

This is an optional feature of your membership in The Haven. By sending me your physical address you are giving permission for me to send you the mail-outs. If you cancel your membership your address will be removed from my system immediately.

Log Files and Cookies

Like many other Web sites, the-haven.co makes use of log files. These files merely log visitors to the site. The information inside the log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. The information tracked is not linked to anything that makes you personally identifiable. It is used to analyse trends, administer the site, track user’s movement around the site, and gather generalised demographic information.

I use this information to administer the site and improve the service I provide through it. It helps me better understand and measure traffic patterns on the Site so that I can identify popular areas, areas that need improvement, and how people engage with it. This information is collected in aggregate form, without identifying you or any user individually.

This data is often tracked by us our our technology services provider by using “cookies” during your visit. A cookie is small amount of data that is transferred to your browser by a web server and can only be read by the server that gave it to you. It functions as your identification card and enables us to record your passwords, purchases, and preferences. Most browsers are initially set to accept cookies. You can set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie, giving you the chance to decide whether or not to accept it. (For some web pages that require an authorisation, cookies are not optional. Users choosing not to accept cookies will probably not be able to access those pages.)

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Affiliates and Advertising

Some of the links on the website are affiliate links, meaning if you choose to provide your information or make a purchase from a third party website I will receive a commission from that site. These links use cookies, essentially allowing the site to see that your IP address arrived from my link. No personal or other identifying data is transmitted, and if you choose to subscribe or purchase from a third party website they are responsible for their own privacy policy.

Data Erasure

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Consent

By using the website, you are consenting to this privacy policy and agree to its terms.
