I spent the past month in Finland. Tuula and I have been finding fun spots for me to play and record songs from my back catalogue. It’s been great re-imagining them for the guitar (oh, the joy of restrictions and limitations!). A huge thanks to Isto for entrusting his guitar to me for the duration of my stay.

Songs From The Sauna Cabin – A Fitting End

At the end of my trip I did a livestream gig from Tuula’s lakeside sauna cabin in the forest. I had a delightfully enjoyable time! Here is the replay, including some behind the scenes preparation footage as I got a feel for where I wanted to be when I played.

I love doing these gigs because I can lose myself in them. While there is something disconcerting about the lack of physical interaction with the audience, there is something beautiful about how relaxed I can be. Also, knowing that no one is excluded from joining me.
