12 | Unfinished Maps (Coming To Our Senses)
The Haven (Private Podcast): (Protected Content)
This issue of Coming To Our Senses brings together some of what we’ve been reflecting on, including:
- The impermanence of the names we give things.
- How the map is not the same as the territory it references.
- Music as a map for life’s formative and meaningful experiences.
- Digital maps are often more up-to-date than paper maps. They become more detailed as we zoom in. Yet a paper map offers other advantages. We can make them our own.
- How we, and our lives, are unfinished maps.
- Maps as forms of communication. They can resist or assist power, giving us an advantage or placing us at a disadvantage.
Through words, images, and sounds, we invite you to notice the presence and role of unfinished maps around your life.
Thanks to Ania, Christine, Jo, Rose, Tuula, Yvonne, and Zoie for your contributions to this issue.
