Slow down. Pause. Breathe.
This is the threshold between the hustle of the world out there and the stillness within.
Acceptance. Silence. Pause.
Creative repetition and ritual is an anchor in time. Home. Sanctuary.
The Haven is Open
From The Kota
Sunday 11th June 2023 (6pm UK Time)
Tranquility is a feeling of home within and around us. While we might typically think of home as existing in space (physical place), a huge part of feeling at home comes through time. Repetition (to do again) and recognition (to know again) are anchors that “turn the world into a reliable place”.
In our Tranquility Theme Kota, we will chat about our relationship with rituals and repetition, and explore the part they play in us feeling at home in community and creativity.
Whether you want to get actively involved in the conversation or quietly observe and absorb, you are so welcome to join us. I would love people to feel validated and encouraged as we explore repetition, ritual, and rhythm as doorways to feeling at home in time.
Sunday 18th June 2023 (6pm UK Time)
The Open Kota is an opportunity to visit any reflections and thoughts stimulated by our Theme Kota and forum discussions. It's also a chance to share about anything that's alive in us right now (challenges, projects, celebrations etc). Come as you are and bring what you have.
Whether you want to get actively involved in the conversation or quietly observe and absorb, you are so welcome to join us. We can also spend time reflecting on the characteristics of fast society, rest as an act of gentle rebellion, and how slowing down can help us become more effective in the most meaningful areas of life.
Kota sessions and workshops are recorded so if members are unable to make it live they can catch up later.
