Do You Want To Explore Your Creativity?
It looks like you’re drawn to The Haven as somewhere to explore and share your creativity, and I’m so glad you’re here.
Based on your answers, it seems you’re seeking somewhere to let your creativity breathe. Whether that’s developing a craft, improving your artistic skills, or simply exploring how you might use a low-stakes creative practice for processing, expression, or adding something to a local community.
In The Haven, we support creativity in its many potential forms. We see creativity isn’t about perfection or performance (lots of people carry baggage around this word). But at its core, creativity is about play, exploration, and uncovering the unique sounds inside each of us.
Why Join Us in The Haven?
- A Place to Create Freely: Whether you’re developing a craft, experimenting with new forms, or exploring everyday creativity, you can do so without fear of judgment or pressure to perform.
- Creativity as Regulation: Use creative expression as a way to calm your nervous system and find grounding in today’s fast-paced world.
- Playful Exploration: Dive into creative prompts designed to help you connect dots and think about life from different angles.
What You’ll Find Here
- Coming To Our Senses (Community Zine): I produce a zine, which provides a regular opportunity to engage with ideas inspired by the relationship between high sensitivity, creativity, and culture. You are invited to contribute with writing, visual creations, or other forms of creative expression!
- Phrase Maze: Join me in the Kota to play with common phrases and idioms, exploring them through different senses and angles. It’s a chance to laugh, experiment, and wonder with me and others. I love these sessions!
- Journal Circle: Join me for our Friday drop-in, where we end the week with a reflective journal prompt and share news about our personal creative practices, projects, and intentions.
