The Phrase Maze | Mini-Zine Exploration

I have enjoyed our gatherings exploring familiar phrases together in 2024. It’s fascinating to see the angles and perspectives that emerge around terms like “I closed the door behind me”, “the money changed everything”, and “let’s leave it there”.

In 2025, these sessions will include a practical element for those who want to invite some creative play into their life.

If so, come and enjoy some low stakes creative play by exploring phrases through a mini-zine template with us! (Or just come along for the conversation!)

These Zoom gatherings revolve around a familiar phrase based on the month’s theme. We select the prompt at random at the start of the session so none of us know what it will be ahead of time. This anchors our exploration. We chat about possible interpretations and angles, and we see what happens as the creative juices start flowing!

The themes are intentionally broad enough to let imagination flow with the guidance, insights, and inspiration that naturally arises through the group energy in the room.

Expect a relaxed, encouraging atmosphere where you can move at your own pace without judgement or pressure.

After the session, there will be a forum thread available to continue the conversation, and a Community Gallery album for sharing any creations the meeting/phrase inspires.
